The Transportation Committee is hosting a Safer Streets Walking Tour on April 13 at 11 am, starting in Dundonald Park. Deck the Park
On Sunday, December 3, 2023, we're having a party to Decorate and Celebrate Dundonald Park, from 1 - 3 pm.
Join us for hot beverages (donated by local businesses), sweet treats (donated by Centretown Community Association & Dundonald Park Gardening Group volunteers), and music performed by the Christ Church Cathedral Girl's Choir.
Please bring decorations (biodegradable only) to add colour to the park until spring, treats to share with the community and/or non-perishable food items for our Centretown Community Food Centre holiday hamper. Please Lug-a-mug to help us cut down on waste too.
Come out and sing along with some seasonal favourites and enjoy an afternoon with neighbours and friends before we all start hibernation.

The Elgin Street Farmer’s Market will be operational every Sunday from 9 am to 1 pm in Boushey Square (the corner of Waverly and Elgin). Come by to grab great fresh local food and crafts and connect with the community!
Historical Walking Tour - Canal and Communities
On the Canal and Communities walk, hosted by Jack Hanna, hear about the building of the local portion of the Rideau Canal, including stories of the workers; early villages on the lands that today are Centretown; Indigenous peoples and the new treaty that is in the works; and notable historic personages.
The walk covers about one kilometre and takes about an hour.
Meet at the Elgin Street Market at the corner Elgin and Waverley at 11 a.m.
There is no cost, but a donation to the Centretown Community Association is appreciated.

The Centretown Community Association and Ariel Troster are hosting a Welcome Wagon for the John Howard Society’s soon-to-open Supportive Housing Program for Women on Lisgar Street.

265 Catherine - Developer Presentation to the Planning Committee
Developer Brigil will be presenting their latest proposal for 265 Catherine Street, an entire city block where the bus station used to be. Previously, Brigil proposed three towers of 26, 36 and 40 storeys on a six-storey pedestal. After the presentation, the CCA's Planning Committee will formulate the CCA’s response.
Historical Walking Tour - Help Preserve West Centretown Heritage!
This is a walking tour in aid of establishing the proposed western boundary (in the Bay-Bronson area) for a new Heritage Conservation District in West Centretown. Meet in Dundonald (Somerset and Lyon) at 2 p.m. The walking tour will proceed block by block. Information will be provided on the heritage characteristics and ages of the Victorian houses on each block. Participants will be given a ballot and asked to vote on whether each block should be included in the new HCD.

330 Gilmour: A Meeting Place for Centretown?
Centretown resident Emily Essex, Emily Essex, will present a history of 330 Gilmour, which has sat empty for over two decades, as well as a proposal on how it can be repurposed to the benefit of the community. Her presentation is based off of her Masters of Architecture thesis on the subject. All are invited to attend - 6:30 p.m. on Monday, September 25, 2023, at the Jack Purcell Community Centre on Elgin Street.
